Our Lincoln Preserve Residence is a modern/contemporary home that stands tall amongst the lush and beautiful mountainous landscape of Paradise Valley, Arizona.
The architecture of the home features a series of walls that appear to grow from the rich Arizona landscape while also framing the window fenestrations of the home. Above these openings, large cantilevered roofs radiate out, framing the extensive views of Piestewa Peak to the north while also shielding the home from the desert sun. These large overhanging roofs do more than provide protection, they begin to contrive the dynamic volumes and form of the home that heightens the feeling of one living intentionally within nature.
The arrival sequence of the home welcomes one into a lush entry courtyard that features distant yet clear views of Camelback Mountain. As one makes their way through this courtyard and arrives at the front door, they enter a portal of concrete and glass that creates a welcoming and intimate scale before entering the home.
Once inside, a tall warm wood ceiling gracefully flows from the inside out framing a stunning view to the backyard, pool terrace, the backdrop Mountain Preserve to the north, and the lush entry courtyard to the south. Additionally, sliding glass openings choreograph the flow of air and light, allowing the home to become an extension of nature, while also merging the interior and exterior spaces into one large living space.
The split floor plan is designed to allow a variety of multi function spaces. It includes two guest suites, a gym and a study, all with ensuite baths. The large private activity space functions as a game room and media center which can be sequestered from the formal living spaces.
The backyard of the home offers a beautiful terrace and yard that provides the perfect opportunity for one to host a party for friends and family or to enjoy a serene evening ritual of observing the glow of a timeless Arizona sunset.
